About Vindhyachal
Vindhyavasini Devi at Vindhyachal is one of the major Shakti peeths of north India, on the Ganga 8 km from Mirzapur. The full pilgrimage is the Trikon, a triangle walk of about 8 km that takes in Ashtabhuja on the hill and Kali Khoh in its cave, with steps and a stiff climb in between. Navratri in spring and autumn fills the town to bursting. Go on a weekday otherwise.
