About Triveni Sangam
The meeting of the Ganga, Yamuna and the invisible Saraswati, and the site of the Kumbh. Boats from the ghats below the fort take you to the exact confluence, where the brown Ganga and the green Yamuna meet in a visible line. The Magh Mela runs every January and February and a tent city fills the sands; the rest of the year it is boats, birds and pilgrims. The river is high and fast in the monsoon.
