About Shringverpur
The Ganga crossing where Nishadraj Guha ferried Ram, Sita and Lakshman into exile, 35 km north-west of Prayagraj on the Lucknow road. Excavation in the 1970s found a brick tank system from around the 1st century BCE that filtered flood water, unusual and well preserved. The Shringi rishi temple and the ghat are the pilgrimage part. Quiet outside Ram Navami.
