About Alopi Devi Temple
A Shakti peeth with no idol. The shrine holds a wooden cradle over a small tank, marking where the last part of Sati fell and vanished, alopa meaning disappeared. It is in Alopibagh between Daraganj and the Sangam and fills on Navratri. The priests are matter of fact and the temple is small; ten minutes unless you are here to worship.
