About Sukh Mahal and Jait Sagar
A small summer palace of 1773 on the bank of Jait Sagar, north of the town, where Kipling stayed while writing about Bundi and where, by local insistence, he worked on Kim. A modest museum occupies part of it. Jait Sagar is covered in lotus in late monsoon and the walk along its bank is the calmest thing in Bundi.
