About Mount Abu
The only hill station in Rajasthan, a granite plateau in the Aravallis at around 1,200 metres that stays fifteen degrees cooler than the plains. Nakki Lake in the middle of town, Sunset Point and the balanced Toad Rock are the standard round, and they are crowded with Gujarati families in May and June and on winter weekends. Come midweek in October or February and it is a different place, with the Dilwara temples and Guru Shikhar ten minutes out.
