About Mollem National Park and Bhagwan Mahavir Sanctuary
The largest protected forest in Goa, a wide spread of the Sahyadri that includes the area around Dudhsagar. Gaur, sambar, leopard, flying squirrels, many snakes and hornbills live here, with a sighting a matter of patience. Walks and drives are on guided routes from Mollem, and a viewpoint on the Dudhsagar route known as Devil's Canyon looks over a sandstone gorge. Wear closed shoes, carry water and keep your voice down.
