About Betul Village and Sal River Mouth

A small fishing village on the Sal river, at the southern edge of Salcete, known for its jetty, fishing boats and the crab and prawn caught here. The river meets the sea nearby and the place is quiet most of the year. Many walk along the river path at dusk, and the fish at the jetty is sold fresh in the morning. There is also a short ferry crossing nearby. It is a good place to see a village away from the beach strip.
