About Sao Jacinto Island
A small island in Mormugao bay, a short boat ride from the Vasco side, where fishing families still live in low houses around a village chapel. Roads are narrow, the beach is quiet and boats pull up beside the houses. There are no big stays, so it is a place to walk, watch the harbour and eat simple fish meals. Ask for the ferry timings, as services are limited, and head back before dark.
