About Galgibaga (Turtle) Beach

A wild, long beach at the southern edge of Goa, backed by casuarina trees and protected as a turtle nesting site. The Talpona river runs behind the sand, and the whole stretch has almost no development. Olive Ridley nesting is monitored by the forest department between November and March. Please keep clear of the nests and avoid lights and loud noise at night.
