About Kuppaghat Ashram
The ashram of Maharshi Mehi Paramhans, the Santmat teacher, on the Ganga bank in Bhagalpur city, built around the underground chamber where he meditated in the 1930s. The cave is small and cool, the gardens above it are kept beautifully, and the ghat looks over the river. It is the quietest corner of a noisy city and the Santmat satsangs are open to anyone.
