About Bhagalpur Tussar Silk Weavers
Bhagalpur has been called the silk city for over a century, and the lanes of Nathnagar and Champanagar still hold thousands of handlooms working tussar and matka silk, the Bhagalpuri silk that carries a GI tag. Weavers will let you watch, and a saree or stole bought at the loom costs a fraction of the shop price. Go on a weekday morning when the looms are working.
