About Komsing

The Adi village where Noel Williamson, the British political officer, was killed on 31 March 1911, the event that brought the punitive Abor Expedition into these hills and, with it, the founding of Pasighat. A small memorial stone marks the spot. The village is on the left bank of the Siang between Pangin and Pasighat, off the main road, and sees almost no visitors.
