About ISKCON Krishna Balaram Mandir

Prabhupada opened it in 1975, and it is the ISKCON temple with the strongest claim to being home, because he died here in 1977 and his marble samadhi stands in the courtyard. Kirtan runs most of the day, the deities are dressed with great care, and the crowd is a mix of international devotees and Braj pilgrims. Cleaner and calmer than the old-town temples.
