About Dwarkadhish Temple

Seth Gokul Das Parikh, treasurer to the Gwalior state, built it in 1814 and it belongs to the Pushtimarg, the Vallabh sect, so darshan is a series of short openings and closings of the curtain through the day rather than an open hall. Rajasthani painted ceilings and a busy courtyard. Its Holi and the Shravan swing festival, with jhulas of gold, silver and flowers, are the two times it really fills.
