About Hazratbal Shrine
A white marble shrine on the western shore of Dal Lake, important as the place that holds a relic believed to be a hair of the Prophet. The building is crowned by a single dome and is lit up at night. Visitors can walk the grounds and see the lake from the shore. Dress modestly and be respectful, and expect crowds on Fridays and holy days.
