A remote, heavily wooded traverse north of Bhandardara, tied to the Ramayana, local belief places Valmiki's ashram and Sita's cave here. Ghanchakkar, the neighbouring summit, is one of the least-visited high points in the range. Trails are faint and the forest is thick, so a guide is close to essential.
