About Van Vihar and Ramsagar sanctuaries
Two small sanctuaries on the plateau outside Dholpur, once the hunting reserve of the Dholpur house. Van Vihar is dry deciduous forest with sambar, nilgai and the occasional leopard; Ramsagar is a lake with a good population of crocodiles and winter waterbirds. Facilities are minimal and you need your own vehicle.
