About Thorangtlang Wildlife Sanctuary

About 50 square kilometres of forest on the low western hills of Lunglei district, on the road down to Tlabung. It sits on an old elephant route between Dampa and the Bangladesh hill tracts, and elephants still pass through in some years. There is no visitor set-up at all: a forest permit, a village guide, and a long day of walking.
