About Telhar Kund

The highest waterfall in Bihar by most accounts, dropping about 80 metres in a single leap off the Adhaura plateau into a deep wooded gorge, some 35 km from Bhabua. There is a railing at the top and a rough path to a lower viewpoint. Flow is heavy from mid-July to October and the spray keeps the plateau lip wet and dangerous, so stay behind the barrier. By January it is a trickle, though the gorge is still worth the drive.
