About Shivdwar Temple

The Shivdwar temple at Gurma, near Ghorawal, holds an 11th century image of Uma-Maheshwar in black stone, Shiva and Parvati seated together, one of the finest medieval sculptures still in worship in the region. The temple itself is a plain modern shell around it. Shivratri and Shravan bring the crowds; otherwise you may be alone with the priest.
