About Ranthambore National Park

The most photographed tigers in India live in this dry dhok forest around a 10th-century fort, and the open terrain, lakes and ruins are why the pictures look the way they do. Zones 1 to 5 are the core and shut in the monsoon; 6 to 10 stay open all year. Summer, hot as it is, gives the surest sightings as the animals come to the lakes. Book weeks ahead for the good zones.
