About Rajgir Hot Springs (Brahmakund)

Twenty-two hot springs come out of Vaibhava hill at the Lakshmi Narayan temple, the hottest at about 45 degrees, and they have been used for bathing since the Buddha and Mahavira both stayed in Rajgir. Brahmakund is the main tank, with the Saptadhara seven streams beside it. Each third year the Malmas Mela, held in the intercalary month, brings a million people. Otherwise it is a busy local bath.
