About Ghora Katora Lake
A natural lake in a horseshoe of hills a few kilometres from Rajgir, kept as a vehicle-free zone: you leave your car at the barrier and go the last stretch by tonga or e-rickshaw. A 70-foot Buddha of pink sandstone was raised on an island in the lake in 2018. Paddle boats, a walk round the shore and quiet are what you get. Good in the late afternoon.
