About Raghurajpur Crafts Village
A village of painters and craftspeople about 14 km from Puri, where nearly every house is a workshop. The main art is pattachitra, painted cloth scrolls in natural colours, and palm leaf engraving. The village is also known for gotipua, the boy dancers who trained the early Odissi tradition. Walk the single street, watch the artists at work, and buy straight from them.
