About Panambur Beach
Panambur is the main city beach of Mangaluru, about 10 km north of the centre next to the New Mangalore Port. It is one of the few beaches in the state with lifeguards, lights and trained staff, so it draws big evening crowds. Jet ski, boat and camel rides run from the sand and an international kite festival is held here most years in January.
