About Kukke Subramanya

Kukke Subramanya is a temple to Kartikeya worshipped as the lord of serpents, set at the foot of the Western Ghats on the Kumaradhara river. Families come from across South India for the sarpa samskara and ashlesha bali rituals meant to remove snake related afflictions, so book sevas in advance. The village is also the starting point of the Kumara Parvatha trek. The nearest railhead is Subrahmanya Road, 12 km away.
