About Namada Chilume
A natural spring in the forest at the foot of Devarayanadurga, which legend says Rama made by shooting an arrow into the rock so he could wet his forehead mark. The water rises from a small hole in the rock all year round. The forest department runs a deer park, a medicinal plant garden and a sandalwood nursery around it. It is 10 km from Tumakuru and is usually combined with the hill temples above.
