About Markha Valley Trek

The best known trek in Ladakh, a week long walk from Chilling or Spituk to Hemis through the Markha river valley and over the Kongmaru La at about 5,200 metres. Villages with homestays and monasteries line the route, so you can trek without carrying a tent. The route is best from June to September.
