About Lohargal
A spring-fed Surya Kund at the foot of the Aravalli where the Pandavas are said to have washed their weapons after the war and watched the iron dissolve, which is what the name means. A Sun temple stands above the tank and pilgrims bathe on the Bhadrapad Amavasya in August or September, when a big fair and a 24-kos parikrama of the hills take place. Quiet the rest of the year, and the walk into the hills behind is pleasant.
