About Laila Majnu ki Mazar
Two graves side by side at Binjaur village, 11 km from Anupgarh and close to the border, which local belief holds to be those of Laila and Majnu, the lovers of the old tale. How they came to be buried in the Thar nobody explains, and it does not matter to the newly married couples who come to pray for a good marriage. The fair each June, in the worst of the heat, is when it is busy; the rest of the year it is a shrine in a field.
What to see and do
- The twin graves under one roof
