About Gurudwara Buddha Johad
In 1740 Sukha Singh and Mehtab Singh rode to Amritsar, killed Massa Rangar, the Mughal official who had turned the Harmandir Sahib into a dance hall, and brought his head back to the camp of Bhai Buddha Singh here, by a pond, a johad, in what is now Dabla village. The gurudwara built on the spot is one of the biggest in Rajasthan, with a large sarovar and langar, 85 km from Sri Ganganagar. It is busy on Sundays and gurpurabs and calm on weekdays.
