About KRS Dam and Brindavan Gardens
Terraced gardens laid out below the Krishna Raja Sagara dam, which was built across the Kaveri in the 1920s and 1930s under the engineer Sir M. Visvesvaraya. The gardens are famous for their fountains and evening lighting, and the musical fountain show runs after dark. The dam itself is best seen when the reservoir is full and the gates are open, usually from late July to September. It is about 20 km from Mysuru.
