About Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum
The state museum, the best single introduction to the 26 major tribes of Arunachal: galleries of textiles, cane and bamboo work, weapons, masks, musical instruments and the wooden Adi and Nyishi houses in cross-section. There is a workshop where craftsmen make cane work on site. Closed Mondays. Allow two hours before you head into the districts; you will recognise things later.
