About Gompa Buddhist Temple
The yellow-roofed Tibetan Buddhist temple on a hill above the town, consecrated by the Dalai Lama, with a prayer hall, a stupa and a Bodhi tree he planted. It has the best view over Itanagar and the surrounding forest, and is a calm quarter hour in a noisy town. Most taxi drivers know it simply as the Gompa.
