About Itanagar Biological Park
The state zoo at Chimpu, 6 km from the town, in a stretch of natural forest large enough that the enclosures feel part of it. It keeps the north-eastern animals you are unlikely to see in the wild: hoolock gibbon, clouded leopard, red panda, Himalayan black bear and hornbills. Closed Mondays. Small, and better than you expect.
