About Indira Gandhi Park
The main public park of the capital, near the state assembly, with lawns, an open-air stage and a hanging bridge. It is where Itanagar comes in the evening and where state functions, fairs and the Statehood Day celebrations on 20 February are held. Nothing to detain a traveller long, but useful when the town feels short of places to sit. The Craft Centre and Emporium is close by.
