About Dwaraka Tirumala
Dwaraka Tirumala is called Chinna Tirupati, the small Tirupati, and is the most visited Venkateswara temple in coastal Andhra. It stands on a small hill 40 km north of Eluru and has two idols of the lord in one sanctum, a self formed one showing only the upper half and a full idol installed later. Pilgrims who cannot reach Tirumala offer their vows here. A road goes to the top and the town has plenty of lodges, with Brahmotsavams held twice a year.
