About Dachigam National Park
A national park in the hills just outside Srinagar and the last home of the Hangul, the Kashmir stag. It is also home to Himalayan black bear and leopard, and has good birds. The lower area is open for visits with a permit from the wildlife department, and it is quietest in late spring and autumn. Entry rules change, so check locally.
