About Bijli Mahadev Temple

A hilltop Shiva temple above the Beas and Parvati confluence at Kullu, where lightning is believed to strike the Shiva Linga every few years, breaking it, and the priest then repairs it with butter. A trek of about 3 km leads up from the road, and the view of the valley is wide. A local legend tells of the demon Jalandhar.
