About Atal Tunnel
A 9.02 km road tunnel under the Rohtang Pass, opened in 2020, among the longest highway tunnels in the world at this height. It links Manali and Lahaul, and gives all weather access to Lahaul and Spiti for much of the year. A toll applies, and the north portal at Sissu opens to a different landscape.
