About Aru Valley
A small village valley above Pahalgam, at the start of the Kolahoi glacier and Tarsar-Marsar treks. Green meadows and a clear stream lie below snow peaks. It is quieter than Pahalgam, with a handful of guesthouses and camps, and gives a good feel of the high Kashmir countryside.
