About Ambika Bhawani, Ami
A Shakti temple at Ami, between Chhapra and Sonepur, that local tradition counts among the Shakti Peeths and links to the yagya of Daksha where Sati burned. There is no idol; the goddess is worshipped as an earthen pindi that is said never to have been dug to its base. Navratri brings the crowds, and the temple sits close to the Ganga bank.
