About Yaganti Uma Maheswara Temple
A 15th century Vijayanagara temple set among red sandstone cliffs and natural caves near Banaganapalle. It is known for its Nandi statue, which locals and the Archaeological Survey say is slowly growing, and for the Pushkarini tank fed by a spring from the hill. Three caves (Agastya, Venkateswara and Veera Brahmam) are reached by steep steps beside the temple; visit before noon to avoid the heat.
