About International Monasteries and Peace Bell
The road past Jetavana is lined with monasteries built by Buddhist countries: the Thai temple with its gilded roofs and gardens is the most visited, and there are Sri Lankan, Korean, Chinese and Myanmar establishments as well as a large World Peace Bell. They are working monasteries, not sights, and most welcome quiet visitors. Buddha Purnima is the one day the whole strip is busy.
