About Salasar Balaji
The Hanuman here is the only one shown with a full beard and moustache, an image found in a field by a Jat farmer in 1754 and enshrined by the saint Mohandas. It is one of the most visited Hanuman temples in India and forms a pilgrim circuit with Khatu Shyam and Jeenmata. The Chaitra and Ashwin Purnima fairs bring hundreds of thousands; ordinary Saturdays and Tuesdays are busy enough.
