About Ram ki Paidi and the Saryu Ghats
A long chain of stepped ghats along a channel of the Saryu, built in the 1980s and rebuilt since with pumps that keep the water moving. The evening aarti is well done. On the eve of Diwali the ghats hold Deepotsav, when volunteers light lamps in the millions and set a new world record most years. Bathe on the steps, not in the open river.
