About Pilibhit Tiger Reserve
A long strip of terai sal forest and grassland along the Nepal border, declared a tiger reserve in 2014 and the first in the world to win the TX2 award for doubling its tigers in four years. Sightings are frequent along the canal roads, and the forest is dense and green in a way the drier reserves are not. Safaris run from Mustafabad and Mahof; Chuka on the Sharda Sagar is the eco-tourism camp inside.
