About Okhla Bird Sanctuary
The marsh behind the Okhla barrage on the Yamuna, on the Delhi border, where over 300 species have been recorded and winter brings large rafts of ducks, geese and sometimes flamingos. A path runs the whole length with watchtowers; mornings from December to February are best. The water is filthy and the birds do not mind.
