About Rashtriya Dalit Prerna Sthal
An 82-acre memorial park in pink sandstone beside the Okhla sanctuary, built by the Mayawati government in 2011 with bronze statues of Ambedkar, Kanshi Ram and Mayawati and rows of stone elephants. Whatever you think of the politics, the scale and the stonework are impressive. Late afternoon is the time, when the sandstone glows.
